Hi Luta,

Thanks for your response and I hear what you’re saying about me ghosting her initially and how that would’ve made her feel. The relationship had some very unhealthy aspects to it and it was time to take a break. No I didn’t do it in the right way and yes I hurt her, however it was still difficult for me when she didn’t respond. I understand that it also would’ve been difficult for her when I initially took a big step back. I did not see myself as a victim — I was simply sharing my experience, hoping to help others who may be in a similar situation.

The point of the article was only to assist readers in finding closure when they couldn’t get it from another person. I wrote my story because I am open to admitting my mistakes and what helped me move forward. I am committed to learning from all my incorrect decisions and moving forward better every single day. I love the quote “I am not trying to be better than anyone else — I am simply trying to be better than the person I was yesterday”. That is how I try to live my life.

I made a mistake and I have apologized for that. I pray that one day we can properly reconcile and work through the pain on both ends. Relationships aren’t always easy and I was able to find closure in my own way, as she did in hers.

Thanks again for your reply,

Alana
